Fine artist Yasmina Alaoui + fashion photographer Marco Guerra join forces to create "One Thousand And One Dreams," a breathtaking life-sized photographic series featuring nudes covered in a henna kaleidoscope.
The culture and traditions of their heritage (French Moroccan + Chilean) were the main sources of inspiration for the project, including South American literature and its magic surrealism...
Alaoui studied Fine Art at the Carousel du Louvre in Paris, earning a BA in Sculpture from William and Mary; while Guerra’s clients include Ralph Lauren and Rolex, with works published in Conde Nast Traveller, Nieman Marcus and Black Book. The dynamic duo resides in NYC.

Crime In The Name of Lace:
In August 1799, Jane Austin's aunt, Jane Perrot, bought some lace in a haberdasher's shop in Bath. Apparently the shopkeeper ran after her and accused of her of shoplifting shortly after Perrot's purchase. Sure enough, when the woman got a hold of Perrot's parcel, there was another card of extra lace in it. This tiny discovery led to a tumultuous year for Perrot, consisiting of her arrest and trial. Unfortunately for her, back in the 1800's shoplifting was considered a very serious offense. A thief caught with stolen items over 5 pounds was liable to hanging.
Nikki Farquharson, a Scottish graphic designer + illustrator based in London, is my new fave inspiration...she is an absolutely A.MA.ZING. artist with a brilliant head on her shoulders. Her vision + creativity are so out of control that I am just like, in awe when I view her work. Speaking of, here are some images from her "mixed media girls" project...

Units at 16 W. 21st Street, which boasts 8 ft. tall windows, will cost up to $6 mil...targeting the young creative conspicuous consumer.
