Carving the Tender Blue

French artist Xavier Veilhan designs and collaborates with Frauscher shipyard to produce the Ral 5015, a high-performance boat in which the name derives from the original Pantone color code it's painted in.
The 8-seater monochromatic nautical sculpture is 22'6" in length and has a beam of 7'2" with a real speed of 40 knots.

Veilhan's functioning piece of art will be held for auction on 20 July in Monte-Carlo by Artcurial, with bids expected in the 200,000 EUR range.
